Lisa Mazenauer (she/her) is an artist working across film, photography, sound, and installation. With a background in sociology and art history, she approaches image-making as a way to engage with (hi)stories embedded in places marked by personal and industrial legacies. Influenced by her family’s mining heritage, she explores the space between archaeology, extractivism, and memory, weaving connections between past and present. Through layered visual and sonic compositions, she questions the construction of History and the profound interaction between human ambition and the landscapes that we shape–physically and psychically. Her work has recently been shown at Kunsthaus Baselland, Biennale de la Photographie de Mulhouse, Espace 3353, Atelier Mondial, Galerie C, Videoex, Photoforum Pasquart, MBAL, IPFO.
